From my personal experience I have found that cruise control does indeed improve my gas mileage compared to my controlling the gas pedal myself. I've compared results on long trips in two previous cars and most recently in my small RV. The improvement -- even when part of the trip is through some pretty steep hills in Pennsylvania -- has been between 1 and 4 MPG. Well worth using, and good advice in my opinion. Thanks for the great site.

First of all great advices!
it´s a bit shocking that only 1 out of 80 has the right tyrepressure.

There is just one thing I´d like to add about cruise control.
Yes what you said is true BUT it only works on roads that are level.
If there are hills the cruise control will try to hold the set speed
by accelerating, then it is way better not using cruise control and let the
car loose some of it´s speed and not accelerate more than necessary to get over it.

So yes cruise control will save some gas but only where the roads are level.

Re: tire pressure, you should actually refer to the recommended PSIs on the inside of the driver's side door and not the tire itself. The tire manufacturer doesn't know how heavy a car it's going on. Otherwise, great stuff.
